Effect of vitamin C in neuroimmune interaction of hippocampus in Alzheimer's induced animals

Administration of vitamin C at 200 and 400mg dose in colchicine-induced AD resulted in recovery of memory impairments, with prevention of neurodegeneration and neuroinflammation in the hippocampus.

Unravelling the role of non-invasive electro-magnetic stimulation in animal model of Alzheimer's disease

We investigated the role of low frequency sinusoidal electromagnetic stimulation to whole-body of animals injected with streptozotocin. And looked into 1. The progression of AD like pathology in these animals 2. Changes after magnetic field stimulation

Synaptic kinetics of neuromuscular junction in sleep-wakefulness

We have studied the macro and micro-structural alteration in acute sleep deprivation of neuromuscular junction in soleus muscle using tools like whole-mount NMJ preparation, transmission electron microscopy and biochemical analysis.

Role of thyroid receptor in early life stress generated agression in newborn pups

Ttr knockdown in hypothalamus resulted in escalated aggressive behavior in males without PPS and also reduced TH levels and expression of TH responsive genes (Nrgn, Trh and Hr).

Dendritic alterations in status epilepticus

We have explored the alteration of dendritic alterations in anterior temporal lobe, CA1 of hippocampus and neocortex using Golgi-Cox impregnation in lithium-pilocarpine treated rats.

Genetic determinants of synaptic dysfunction seen in Alzheimer's disease

We are using tools to transfect the neuronal circuitry of hippocampus with the newly invented Alzheimer's risk genes using cellular electrophysiology and microscopy
